Asus U Series Notebooks

Asus has just unveiled more details on its designer U series notebooks that some might even say that it resembles the MacBook Air from certain angles.

These new notebooks in question are the 12″ U20A, 13.3″ UX30 and the 15.6″ UX50V which are all powered by Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processor that range from 1.2GHz to 1.6GHz in speed. These won’t cause a bulge in your bag whenever you travel with them since they won’t be more than 1.2″ thick at their fattest point, with the UX30 being the thinnest at 0.9″ across its length while tipping the scales at a shoulder-friendly 3.5 pounds - although you do lose the functionality of a DVD burner. All models will come with 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a LED-backlit screen, up to 500GB hard drives and a maximum of 4GB RAM.

Panasonic HDC-TM300 Camcorder Reviewed

Panasonic HDC-TM300 Camcorder Reviewed

Panasonic HDC-TM300 is a compact Full HD camcorder with a 10.6 Megapixel 3MOS image sensor. It offers 12x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom and a .27-inch LCD display. Other than 32GB flash memory, the TM300 offers a SD/SDHC card slot for expansion.

The Panasonic HDC-TM300 is available from B&H for $1299.95.

TrustedReviews has test the HDC-TM300 and comments:

The Panasonic HDC-HS300 looked like a hard act to beat when we reviewed it, but the TM300 is an even more attractive package. The smaller video storage is balanced out by the reduced weight, and it’s around £50 cheaper too. Although Canon’s LEGRIA HF S10 and Sony HDR-XR520 are brilliant camcorders too, the former is considerably more expensive and the latter doesn’t offer the TM300’s manual control. If you’re serious about your video making, the HDC-TM300 gets the balance just right between features, video quality and price.
