Acer intros entry-level, affordable EL-1600 in India

Acer EL-1600 Acer has revised the price of its entry-level EL-1600 desktop for the Indian markets. Powered by Intel Atom processor 230, this desktop is lighter, smaller and affordable compared to traditional desktops. Moreover, it consumes mere one-third of the total power utilized by conventional desktops.

The EL-1600 features Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Intel Atom 230 CPU, 1.6 GHz power-efficient cooling performance, 1024 MB RAM internal memory, 160GB SSD disk and HD audio. Sporting a black glossy classic design, this space saving nettop comes embedded with up to 8 USB ports along with 8.5 litre size platform that saves space.

Fujifilm 10 MP FinePix S2000HD launched in India

Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD Fujifilm has introduced its FinePix S2000HD digital camera in India. This 10 megapixel camera with 15x optical zoom supports HDTV systems for still images and movies. The S2000HD along with quality features lets users view clear HD photos and movies on their HDTVs.

This Finepix camera captures movie at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and stills at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It packs in a remote control and cable.

Asus Eee Box EB1002 and EB1006 Nettops in the works?

Asus Eee Box Nettop The Nettop industry is all set to welcome two new models from Asus! Slashgear hints that according to listings on the Energy Star website, Asus is preparing Eee Box EB1002 and Eee Box EB1006 nettops.

Both the systems are believed to run on the Intel Atom 1.66GHz processor and offer 2GB of RAM. The EB1002 apparently features integrated graphics, 250GB hard-drive and a fair amount of power usage that ranges between 1.320 and 1.416W in sleep mode and between 0.971 and 1.062W in standby mode.

AMD has announced AMD Athlon II X2 250 and AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition processors. These processors claim to deliver exceptional performance, efficiency and value for money.

The AMD Athlon II X2 250 pairs up with the AMD chipset to create an all-AMD platform. This platform is said to provide almost double the graphics performance compared to the Intel integrated graphics.

This processor is specifically designed to suit the Windows 7 operating system. This 45nm processor comes with a TDP of 65W. The Toshiba NB205 netbook is all set to enter the US market, reports Cnet. This netbook is a redesigned version of the NB200 and has been on sale in Europe and Japan for quite sometime now. The Toshiba NB205 will be made available in two models dubbed NB205-210 and NB205-310. The difference between the two models is that the NB205-310 features Bluetooth while the NB205-210 doesn’t.

Asus unwraps Gaming-oriented G51 Notebook

Asus G51 Gaming Notebook One more alternative is out in the market for gaming enthusiasts. In words of Electronista, Asus offers consumers an uber-cool notebook, dubbed the G51, particularly for gaming purposes.

The concept of the gaming laptop is believed to be in the similar lines of the rival Alienware systems. Perhaps, it is unblemished in a stylized “robot” design and packs in high-end performance specifications.

Kindle DX to start shipping on June 10

Amazon’s highly anticipated Kindle DX will start shipping on June 10. This e-book reader was available for pre-order since its release in May. The Kindle DX features a 9.7-inch E-Ink display, which is larger than the Kindle2.

As reported earlier the kindle DX is capable of holding around 3500 books, periodicals and documents. It also comes with an auto rotating screen that automatically changes from landscape to portrait mode. The Kindle DX features 16-shades of gray that assist in displaying real paper like images.
