BenQ launches 10MP C1020 and 12MP C1220 cameras

BenQ has gone out of its way to start this week with the launch of two new cameras called C1020 and C1220, reports Slashgear. These cameras are not much different from the latest cameras in the market but do claim to give users an upper hand over the others.

Here’s one more laptop arriving in from Asus! The company seems to be in full swing to reach at its targeted audiences with a range of laptops. The latest offering is the Asus K40IN-A1 that expands the company’s K Series of laptops that was seen at CeBIT in March. According to Engadget, it is expected to release in the U.S. markets.

Featuring a 14-inch screen, it apparently offers a LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Toshiba intros Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ notebook PC in Japan

Toshiba Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ Notebook Toshiba has expanded its dynabook SS RX2 series by introducing top-of the range dynabook SS RX2/WAJ notebook PC in Japan. It is also claimed to be the first notebook PC to include 512GB solid state drive.

Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ contains four times greater SSD density compared to the available SSD integrated products, thanks to the included 2-bit-per-cell multi-level NAND flash memory.

In addition, the controller provides high-speed parallel processing. This controller along with the multi-level NAND flash memory helps increase the read/write data rate, thereby enabling read speed up to 230 MB/sec and write speed up to 180MB/sec.

Packard Bell EasyNote Butterfly Notebook

Packard Bell announced today that they will soon be releasing the Acer supplied EasyNote Butterfly. This notebook is a tad too large to be a netbook, measuring in at 13.4-inches and features a LED-backlit display.

Other specs include an Intel Ultra Low Voltage processor, a multitouch trackpad and ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 graphics. Optional features include 3G and a choice between a standard hard drive or a solid-state drive.

With eight-hours of battery life, this notebook is set to be quite a useful little portable. No idea about its release or pricing, but Europe will likely be the only market for the Packard Bell EasyNote Butterfly.

MCE ships Mac Pro Blu-ray burner with 8x speeds

MCE has really outdone themselves this time. Their latest offering is the Mac Pro Blu-ray Burner, but it’s not the same as their first internal Blu-ray burner for the Mac Pro. This time around, it has even faster read/write speeds.

The first edition cost $699, but you can expect to only shell out $429 for this latest version. It has an 8X Blu-ray read/write drive and a 16X DVD±R/W. Compatibility is good as well, with great functionality with several software packages including Final Cut Pro, Roxio Toast 10 Pro and Adobe Premier Pro.

To play studio Blu-ray discs on the Mac-Pro, you’ll have to dual boot Windows. Or, you could just sit around until the Mac is equipped with the ability to playback Blu-ray. It’s your choice.

LG shows 5.9mm World’s Thinnest LCD TV Panel

LG presents the world’s thinnest 42-inch and 47-inch LCD TV panels that utilizes the edge-lit LED (light emitting diode) backlight system and LGS (Light Guide Sheet) technology. The new LCD TV panels are just 5.9mm thick.

These 5.9mm panels feature 1920×1080p Full HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 450 cd/m2 brightness, 80% color saturation level and a 8ms motion picture response time. The 42-inch and 47-inch LCD TV panel weigh just 6.1kg and 7.3kg respectively, about 50 percent lighter than the same size of conventional CCFL-backlit product.

LG doesn’t announce the availability and pricing of these new LCD TV panels.

This is Favi’s PJM-1000 mini pocket projector that may be the world’s smallest projector. The PJM-1000 somehow looks like 3M’s MPro110 but we are not sure if they are just the same device.

Favi PJM-1000 features 640×480 resolution with 80:1 contrast ratio, 12 lumens brightness and 0.656 throw ratio. It can project up to 100-inch of image. The projector measures just 4.4 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches and weighs 6.4 ounces. It is available from Amazon for $279.95.

Microsoft introduces the new LifeCam VX-2000, a budget-priced webcam. The LifeCam VX-2000 features a VGA video sensor that can capture VGA video and 1.3 Megapixel still images via interpolation. It offers a frame rate of 30 per second and has built-in microphone.

Microsoft’s LifeCam VX-2000 can adjustst automatically for low-light conditions. It also allows you to add visual effects to images and videos.

The Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 will be available next month for $29.95.
