It can be used in the garden or in the home, however, you need to make sure it gets plenty of sun light if used indoors.

Video on Home Energy Microgeneration

Posted May 8th, 2009 by Dan (EnviroGadget Writer)

I’ve found this short video on micro-generation for the home, which might be useful to those of you who are interested in creating their own mini power station at home. The video features ITV’s Dream Home’s Oliver Heath and Helen Steed, who is the Microgeneration Development Manager at npower.

The video focuses on explaining how easy it is to get started and how npower can help (so there’s a slight slant towards npower here). Oliver and Helen also talk about a new series of video guides on how to install solar panels in your home too!

2C Solar Cap

I recently received a 2C Solar Cap to review, and I must say that I was very impressed with it. You’d expect it to be a silly gadget without any real purpose… but actually, it works perfectly for map reading at night. If you’re out hiking or camping, you usually need both hands free to do something, such as pitching a tent, cooking, or map reading. The 2C Solar Cap perfectly angles the bright white LED lights in front of you, making the cap very practical.
