The long awaited CrunchPad may start shipping this November. According to Slashgear, the shipping details of the CrunchPad have been disclosed by the Fusion Garage. The Straits Times, a Singaporean newspaper says that this touchscreen device will target the Christmas Shopping season.

Altera boosts Stratix III FPGAs temperature range

Altera Stratix III FPGAs Altera has announced that it has boosted the temperature range of the Stratix III FPGAs. The FPGAs have received this expansion in the temperature range to support military applications. These FPGAs are a part of Altera’s enhanced commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) strategy. This strategy promises to provide military customers access to the technology and economies of scale provided by the commercially available products.
