Active Media Products intros Polar Bear USB drive
July 21st, 2009Active Media Products has launched the Polar Bear USB drive that is compatible with Windows 7 platform. The company has signed an agreement with the WWF stating that it will launch a product line of USB drive resembling endangered species of animals. According to the agreement, the company will also contribute five percent of the retail price of this product line to the WWF.
The Polar Bear drive is available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB storage capacities. The drive is a perfect 40:1 scale model of the polar bear and even features its hair texture. The silicon rubber casing is completely free of toxic materials like PVC, lead and mercury.

Asus has unveiled the P6X58 Premium motherboard with USB 3.0 ports, reports Gizmodo. This motherboard from Asus is said to be the first device to feature USB 3.0 port.

AMD Neo to be incorporated in Nettops
July 21st, 2009AMD Neo will soon be incorporated in nettops and all-in-one PCs, reports Engadget. The ultra portable platform of the AMD Neo made its debut back in January.
The Neo has been designed specifically for ultra slim and light laptops. This chip has now been incorporated into an array of nettops and all-in-one PCs.

Diagonal slider DYA Cell Phone concept
July 21st, 2009Designer Aran Mun has come up with a unique concept phone called the DYA Cell Phone. With an innovative design, it sports a diagonal cut and is supposedly a diagonal slider handset reports Ubergizmo.
Apparently, users need to open the device diagonally to make or receive calls. The buttons are round and soft to touch, which would probably enable users to dial easily and comfortably. The placement of the buttons is rather unusual compared to the phones available in the market, the number 1 is placed on the top and is followed by the other digits from left to right.
