GlacialTech launches Igloo 7500 PWM and Igloo7500 Silent CPU coolers

GlacialTech has launched two new CPU coolers dubbed Igloo 7500 PWM and Igloo7500 Silent. Both these coolers incorporate a unique design for better performance. The specially aligned sinter heatpipe includes a combination of four pipes which dissipate the heat from the CPU directly to the heat sink fins.
The Silent version’s fan quietly lowers the temperature of the CPU. These coolers provide efficient and affordable way of keeping the CPU cool. The Igloo 7500 PWM is ideal for use with resource hungry applications. The RPM of the PWM can be turned up to 3600 to efficiently manage the heat dissipation while working with resource consuming applications. The RPM can again be turned down to 800 while performing routine and non-intensive work.

Dell developing an Android Device?

According to Cnet, Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has reported that Dell is in the process of developing a pocket-size Internet device with the help of Google’s Android operating system. This Internet device is claimed to posses the capability of competing with the iPod Touch from Apple.
Apparently, those who have viewed the early prototypes of the device have stated that this device sports a look similar to that of the Apple iPod Touch but is a bit larger than it.
The device seems to be a Mobile Internet Device (MID) anywhere between a mobile phone and a netbook computer. However, it may not come with the features of a typical cellular handset.

Altera presents Cyclone III LS lineup of FPGAs

Altera has unveiled a new low-power FPGA product family dubbed Altera Cyclone III LS. Besides security features, the FPGA devices belonging to this family also bundle up hi-fi memory, logic and DSP density per board area.
These FPGAs utilize mere 0.25W of static power for undertaking 200K logic elements (LEs). They are said to be apt for power and board-space-sensitive applications used by military and industries.
