MITSUBISHI has unveiled its new eco-friendly LCD monitor ‘Diamodcrysta WIDE Series’ for the Japanese market. This new 20-inch LCD monitor is an energy efficient display, reducing power consumption up to 10W, and it supports 5000:1 contrast ratio. Philips has rolled out its new LCD display with a built-in infrared presence sensor. Known as the Philips Brilliance, the LCD monitor adopts “PowerSensor” technology, which can detect whether you’re sat in front of it or not and adjust brightness accordingly. If you get up from your chair and move away from the monitor, the brightness will immediately dim to reduce power consumption by 50%. Samsung has released not one but four new handsets from its mid-range phones series, which is dubbed as the Samsung S6700, C5510, M2510 and M2310. The M2310 comes with only a poor VGA camera and the M2510 features a 1.3MP camera. Both of these handsets have dedicated music controls. The Samsung C5510 is a dual band 3G handset that comes equipped with a 2MP camera with fixed focus, and a 16GB of storage capacity. The first Android phone with flash support has been unveiled. A true iPhone killer this time? Known as the HTC Hero, it is a phone which has been speculated with images leaked previously, now officially revealed and pictured below.
The new open source Android based HTC Hero sports a 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320) screen, a five megapixel camera with autofocus, AGPS, digital compass, gravity sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated search button. On the inside lies 512MB of storage, expandable by microSD, 288MB of RAM, and a 528MHz Qualcomm processor.
HP has unveiled the “world’s first web-connected printer” called Photosmart Premium. It features a 4.33-inch front panel (which is Touchsmart Web), a touchscreen interface with several bundled, online apps for tasks such as printing Google maps, tickets, coupons, recipes etc.
The Photosmart Premium also has a full-on HD Apps Studio, which allow you to download new apps for the printers. Importantly, video streaming feature has also been implemented! The HP Photosmart Premium will be priced at $399.

Corsair intros P128 and P64 SSDs

Corsair has announced two new additions to the Performance series SSDs, the P128 and the P64. Both these models are high performance solid state drives. Following the success of the P256 SSD, Corsair has launched these SSDs which provide similar read/write speeds at a lower cost.
