Cowon iAudio E2 MP3 Player The Cowon’s new MP3 player dubbed iAudio E2 has been previewed, reports Slashgear. The E2 closely resembles a screenless PMP just like the iPod Shuffle. However, the iconic teaser for this product is creating a lot of confusion.

The looks of the E2 does not reveal the complete range of features. The icons displayed include a camera, USB thumb drive, radio, door, coffee mug and more. All these icons are pretty confusing and do not clearly state the features leaving several loose ends and loop holes.

Nikon to release VP650 camera and projector combo?

Nikon Logo The rumors on the Internet speak of a new camera from Nikon. What’s new? This camera will also incorporate a projector. According to NikonRumors, a French print photo magazine called the Chausseur D’Image reports that Nikon will be launching a new camera with a built-in projector.

Apparently, the August issue of the Chausseur D’Image speaks of the new product from Nikon codenamed VP650. This magazine had earlier reported the specifications of the Nikon D300s and the Nikon D3000 way before its release at the end of last month.

Intel X25-E Extreme SATA SSD sets new speed record

The Intel X25-E SSD has set a new 2.23Gbps speed record. According to Slashgear, Tom’s Hardware has developed this new rival of the Samsung 24 SSD RAID. They used sixteen Intel X25-E SSD and two Adaptec 5805 PCI Express cards.

This experiment enabled them to surpass the speed limit of 2.12Gbps set by the Samsung SSDs. When coupled with the Adaptec cards, the drives delivered a throughput of 2.23Gbps. These drives also use two hardware RAID-0 arrays that are linked using Windows’ RAID functionality.

The people at Tom’s Hardware decided against running all the drives from a single Adaptec card, as they feared running into the PCI Express bandwidth limitations. The highlight of this test was that they used a standard test rig.

Nokia 5800i gets FCC approval

The Nokia 5800i is approved by the FCC, reports Ubergizmo. This handset will initially be introduced by China Unicom. The label of this phone further strengthens the possibilities of a Chinese launch.
