MITSUBISHI has unveiled its new eco-friendly LCD monitor ‘Diamodcrysta WIDE Series’ for the Japanese market. Philips has rolled out its new LCD display with a built-in infrared presence sensor. Known as the Philips Brilliance, the LCD monitor adopts “PowerSensor” technology, which can detect whether you’re sat in front of it or not and adjust brightness accordingly. If you get up from your chair and move away from the monitor, the brightness will immediately dim to reduce power consumption by 50%. The first Android phone with flash support has been unveiled. A true iPhone killer this time? Known as the HTC Hero, it is a phone which has been speculated with images leaked previously, now officially revealed and pictured below.
The new open source Android based HTC Hero sports a 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320) screen, a five megapixel camera with autofocus, AGPS, digital compass, gravity sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated search button. On the inside lies 512MB of storage, expandable by microSD, 288MB of RAM, and a 528MHz Qualcomm processor.
HP has unveiled the “world’s first web-connected printer” called Photosmart Premium. It features a 4.33-inch front panel (which is Touchsmart Web), a touchscreen interface with several bundled, online apps for tasks such as printing Google maps, tickets, coupons, recipes etc.
The Photosmart Premium also has a full-on HD Apps Studio, which allow you to download new apps for the printers. Importantly, video streaming feature has also been implemented! The HP Photosmart Premium will be priced at $399.
SanDisk yesterday unveiled what they claim to be yet the world’s fastest SDHC cards. The latest in technology new Extreme III SDHC series will come in 4/8/16/32GB capacities and will boast speeds of up to 30MB/second! These specs will be perfect for those looking to get more involved with HD video recording but have so far been annoyed by the lack of speed when it comes to transferring large video files.
